The San Andreas Department of Corrections has a simple rank structure. There is a clear definition of the authoritative power that comes connected with the assigned rank. The rank structure is as follows (starting from the top to the bottom):

Wardens

Wardens have the highest level of authoritative power and are accountable to overseeing the entire department.
  • Warden
  • Deputy Warden
  • Assistant Warden

Captains

Captains work with the Wardens as members of High Command to efficiently manage the department.

Lieutenants

Lieutenants are members of Low Command. They work with both High Command and Sergeants to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Sergeants

Sergeants are department Supervisors. They ensure Correctional Officers follow the SOPs and take lead in situations.

Correctional Officers

Correctional Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe prison environment.
  • Senior Correctional Officer
  • Corrections Officer

Correctional Cadets

Correctional Cadets are those in training. They fall under the supervision of the Field Training Program.

Levels of Authoritative Power

The levels of authoritative power is defined below:
Wardens possess the highest level of authoritative power. They can:
  • Make department changes,
  • Change divisions and rank structures,
  • Approve promotions and demotions,
  • Authorize terminations, blacklists, and permanent strikes,
  • Create required Discord channels,
  • And everything below.
Captains work with the Wardens as members of High Command and head their own division. They can:
  • Request promotions and demotions,
  • Vote on applications and personnel changes,
  • And everything below.
Lieutenants are considered members of Low Command. They can:
  • Issue warnings, strikes and suspensions,
  • Participate in Command discussions and meetings,
  • And everything below.
Sergeants ensure Correctional Officers are doing their jobs properly. They can:
  • Issue warnings and strikes for up to two (2) weeks, and suspension up to 24 hours of rank below.
