At the San Andreas Department of Corrections we have core values that we firmly believe in and value greatly. To strive towards and achieve an optimal work environment. It is of paramount importance that everyone follow these rules and guidelines that have been determined. Any breach of conduct will be investigated and dealt with accordingly, including warnings, strikes, removal of privileges and up until termination.

Respect all persons

At all times respect the Civilians, State Officials, Police Officers, BCFD, EMS and other unknown persons that you might encounter during your active shift. Please refer to them in a respectable manner and address them accordingly.

No insubordination

Insubordination will not be tolerated. If someone with higher authoritative power gives you an order in a situation, you are to comply. If you believe that the individual giving the orders was behaving in an ill-mannered way, please forward these concerns to a supervisor.

Use the proper channels

Chain of Command and common questions should be filed through the proper channels of communication. This Standard Operating Procedure should contain all the answers to the questions you might encounter as an employee. If there is a concern, suggestion, adaptation that you wish should be made, convey that message through the formal channels.

Use common sense

Use your common sense. If you have a question about what you are allowed or not allowed to do, seek out a supervisor, if there are no supervisors or higher ranked, the answer to your question is NO.
