# 1.3 Divisions

> Overview of the divisions within the San Andreas Department of Corrections and how to identify each.

The San Andreas Department of Corrections has many departments. Below is a quick description of each one as well as their objective and goal. Once you become a Correction Officer you will be able to join any of the following divisions.

  The Field Training Program is to teach upcoming cadets the way of a Corrections Officer. You will be teaching the standard operating procedures, as well as how to manage situations we encounter on a daily basis. They can be identified with a white stripe on their trousers.

  The Emergency Response Team is made up of highly-trained Corrections Officers with the aim of preventing and eliminating any threats within the prison as peacefully as possible. They do this through the use of specialist equipment and tactics. They can be identified with a diamond on their chevrons.
